How are our programs funded?
Most of our current program funding is through the generosity of individuals and organizations. In addition, we are deeply grateful for grant support from the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities, Global Ubuntu, New England War Tax Resisters, the Clif Bar Family Foundation, the JustPax Fund, the Stentzel Family Foundation, and the Fund for Democratic Communities.
How will my donation be used?
Donations make our sliding scale tuition available to families who cannot afford the full tuition. Your gift directly supports the Peacebuilders Camp experience for our campers and helps pay for:
- Transportation (we go on daily field trips to visit peacemakers in south Georgia)
- Food (feeding 20 youth isn’t easy!)
- Lodging (we love our accommodations at Koinonia Farm)
- Counselors & staff (our most important resource)
- Special guests (amazing people who share their passion for peace & justice with our campers)
- Camp activities (swimming, service projects, camping, museums, etc)

Sponsor-a-Camper Program
Want to make a direct impact on the life of one (or more) of our campers? Sponsor a camper with a gift that will enable a young person from a low-income neighborhood, refugee or immigrant community, or who is otherwise unable to pay full tuition to participate in this life-changing camp experience!
A $1,000 donation sponsors one camper.
Can’t sponsor a camper by yourself? We are seeking faith communities and other organizations who want to play a role in educating the next generation of peacemakers by partnering with Peacebuilders Camp through our Sponsor-a-Camper program. We encourage partner groups to make a sponsorship part of their budget for the year and also encourage youth from their own community to attend camp! Contact Mario to inquire further about how he and other Peacebuilders Camp staff can help you present this idea to your group.
Help Raise Money!
Each year we invite our campers and their communities to participate in fundraising. Peacebuilders Camp uses a sliding-scale tuition system to make camp possible for all! In this spirit of partnership, we solicit gifts from our many generous supporters and we ask adults and campers to participate in widening the circle of Peacebuilders Camp giving, too.
Here are four concrete ways you can help:
