2017 Peacebuilders Camp Alumni Reunion

Saturday, September 23, 2017

2 – 10 pm

Have you attended Peacebuilders Camp in any of our seven summers? Then you and your family are invited to our first ever Peacebuilders Reunion on September 23rd.

The Reunion coincides with the Plains Peanut Festival which includes a road race, arts & crafts vendors, food, a parade, and performances. If you are top-3 in your age division in the race, President Jimmy Carter will personally award you your trophy. And Peacebuilders Camp will be marching in the parade behind our banner at 11:00 am. Please join us at the Festival!

After the Festival, our Reunion starts at 2pm at Koinonia Farm (where camp is held each summer). There will be games, a hayride, campfire, storytelling, and time to visit with old friends, meet new ones, and a hear what campers have been up to since their last time at camp. We’ll feed you dinner that night.

Here is a tentative schedule:

2:00 – Arrive at Koinonia, games and sports
3:00 – Introductions and get-to-know-you games
4:00 – What have you done since camp? Discussion of current events.
5:00 – Dinner
6:45 – Hayride
7:30 – Campfire, s’mores, & storytelling
10:00 – Wrap up and goodnight

And if you are so inclined, President Carter will be teaching Sunday School at Maranatha Baptist Church on Sunday, September 24th, if your family wants to go to that.

How to participate:

  1. Email or text (303-731-3503) Mario to RSVP.
  2. If you wish to stay overnight on Friday or Saturday, you are invited to do so. Former campers who want to stay overnight must have a parent or adult sponsor with them. Once you RSVP, we’ll provide you information on how you can reserve your room(s) directly with Koinonia Farm. We’re working out a last few logistics and the charge to rent a room will be announced soon.
